Free for Unemployed and $20 for employed
Please join the GoldMind Project for a full day session to learn about career opportunities that you may have never considered before and methods to adapt, seek out and market yourself to them. This session is free to those in career transition and lunch will be served. The session provides networking and coaching workshops that provide information and career building strategies for unemployed or underemployed professionals. Many talented Calgarians need to get back into the workforce, and the GMP has curated a group of professionals that can help them look for work in places and ways they have not considered.
Participants will learn about opportunities available to them in various sectors and emerging economies, for example, the advent of disruptive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Big Data. Participants will learn about strategies and means to seek out information about careers in alternative areas. Job seekers need to understand how to identify the chaos that significant change triggers, the opportunities that may not be apparent and how to focus your energies into a positive and successful transition.
The workshop will also provide a coaching session on how to develop meaningful connections that will benefit their career search. There will be resources and booths available with everything from training, career coaching and volunteer opportunities to social support. The event will be held on November 14, 2018 at Mount Royal University and registration will begin at 8:30am with the session beginning at 9:00 am.
